The financial software giant Intuit has entered into a nine-figure partnership with OpenAI, enabling users to access its full suite of services directly through ChatGPT. The company’s products — including TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and MailChimp — will now be available within the chatbot, offering personalized financial guidance and streamlined management tools.
The collaboration stems from what Intuit describes as “hundreds of millions of consumers and businesses” turning to ChatGPT each week with finance-related questions. Through this integration, users will be able to research credit cards and mortgage options within ChatGPT, receive spending-based recommendations, and even grant the chatbot access to their financial information to estimate tax refunds or book appointments with an “AI-powered tax expert.”
For businesses, the partnership enables ChatGPT to provide insights on revenue growth based on real-time performance data, generate targeted customer campaigns, and automate tasks such as invoice reminder creation.
Intuit has spent the past decade heavily investing in artificial intelligence, launching its own AI assistant in 2023 and embedding it throughout its product ecosystem. The $100 million agreement with OpenAI will further expand the company’s use of OpenAI’s advanced models and agentic capabilities across its platform. Through generative AI, Intuit customers can complete financial tasks and navigate complex topics using simple natural-language prompts.
OpenAI, meanwhile, continues to position itself as a serious player in financial guidance. Just last month, the company acquired ROI, a personal investing app that uses an integrated chatbot to help users evaluate potential investment opportunities.
