Strictly Come Dancing is down to its final four couples, after another celebrity was voted out during Musicals Week.
Actor Lewis Cope, known for his role in Emmerdale, and professional dancer Katya Jones found themselves in the dance-off alongside reality star Amber Davies and partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Cope’s salsa to “Dance at the Gym” from West Side Story was not enough to win over the judging panel, who elected to save Davies following her Charleston to “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat” from Guys and Dolls.
Davies now heads into the semi-final with fellow contenders Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke and Karen Carney.
Reflecting on his Strictly journey, Cope said he was “grateful beyond words” to have made it to week 11.
“If someone had told me at the start that I’d last this long, I’d have been thrilled,” he said, thanking Jones for her guidance and friendship.
Jones praised her partner as a “true gentleman” and commended his dedication and kindness.
Saturday’s show saw Davies and Kuzmin top the leaderboard with a perfect score. Close behind were EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who delivered a Viennese waltz to “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman.
Internet personality George Clarke and Alexis Warr impressed with an Argentine tango to “The Point of No Return” from The Phantom of the Opera, while former Lioness and sports pundit Karen Carney and Carlos Gu danced a samba to “The Rhythm of Life” from Sweet Charity.
The semi-final will see each of the remaining couples perform two routines. It airs Saturday 13 December at 18:35 GMT on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with the Results Show following on Sunday at 19:45 GMT.
Viewers can also look forward to performances from Kylie Minogue and Five.
